Fall 2007 Grading

Congratulations to all the dedicated Redding Shotokan Karate members who participated in the grading on Saturday! We were happy to be able to promote everybody, something which is not guaranteed. This shows that everybody had already attained the higher level, and each person was able to express him or herself well enough to show that level. Again, congratulations!

Congratulations to all the Redding Shotokan members who participated in the Kyu Test on Saturday. My main impression was that you all are seriously studying and trying to become better karateka. I only wish Kai could have been here. He'd have had a blast.

Testing today

I am so grateful to have been able to participate in testing today and see everyone do so well. I was so excited to pass to the next kyu.  I feel so lucky to have such wonderul and skilled teachers and want to say a special thanks to sensei and Brad for all thier time.  I am so proud of Garath for skipping to 7th kyu and also Darrell who is always so patient with me and is such an inspiration to watch.  Congratulations to Yana for earning her Brown belt, you were a fearless Tiger out there today, and made me so proud to be a women!  Looking forward to seeing you all in pr » read the entire item »actice.

Adults: 11:30am

Please come early for the paperwork!

Remember: The real test is now. It's "the process" of how hard you practice before the actual test.

If you practice hard now, it will show at the test. Don't hesitate to ask your instructors for help.
