Good Luck, Yana!

It's hard for me to write this in English...especially when I'm flooded with memories of the time I spent with Yana - on and off the dojo floor. Redding Shotokan is about to lose yet another serious core member - the future of our dojo. She says she has learned from everyone. What a talent! We have learned so much from her, too. She really tries to punch me and everyone straight in the nose. I like that! Her eyes are always so serious and enthusiastic when she asks questions. I feel it! I hoped she'd stay with us for a long time and eventually become our new female black belt.

We'll miss you and I'll miss you, Yana. Thank you for the time we shared. Good luck in your new chapter! Keep punching and kicking with all your spirit in the new dojo! I'm looking forward to seeing you again at some SKA practice hopefully soon.

Thank you Hiroko! I am

Thank you Hiroko! I am still wondering how I am going to spar with all those great big guys down there without your coaching me on how to get in or past their "long arms"!!!!! Are you sure you can't come with me??!! I will look forward to our next encounter, hopefully a Women's practice, though I will miss those few "one on one" practices we have had.
